Just wondering how you take advantage of corsair pc2400...I have a epox 8k7a with 1.4ghz 266fsb.........Plz help!
Not sure if you are looking for specific ram timings or asking how to use the memory at its rated speed.
If your asking about its rated speed then you need to set the cpu fsb in the bios to 150mhz. Be carefull to consider the result as the fsb X cpu's multiplier = the cpu's speed.
Its wise to raise the fsb slowly above the default 133 maybe start a 140 and run some tests to make sure your system is stable then move to 145 and test then 150.
When you overclock your fsb you are also increasing the frequency that all your cards and hard drive are operating at as well and sometimes they will cause problems. If its a hard drive that does not like it you may corrupt your operating system.
