So do we have a Climate Prediction team yet?
I've attached to the climate prediction project and given it a 5% resource share. I figure this way whenever my cache for SETI is empty my machine will work on CPDN.
I was wondering the same thing though. If there is, or is any plans for an OC team.
Don't think so, but I know SkyHook and I have been running it for over a week.

With much disgrace I must report having 4 rigs running ClimatePredictor fulltime since last Thursday. Happily I am reporting not a single minute of downtime since joining that project. As of this moment I have amassed 3402 Credits and can be found hanging around 199th on their list of participants. And yes that is using their BOINC Version, so before being accused of giving up on BOINC, I have not. As for giving up on SETI it is as much a question of have they given up on me? I have one rig running SETI-BOINC yet, crunching when it gets WUs and reporting them back when allowed.
As for a Team, I didn't start anything, first because I wasn't even sure if there was any interest, and second because I wasn't sure if the forums were interested in having their name attached to another project. Right now I'm just a "Lone Wolf" having a good time seeing my work acknowledged, and doing a bunch of reading about a subject I knew very little about, and finding it quite complex and interesting. As for Our SETI effort, my allegance to this Team will never stop, nor will my duties maintaining the Classic Daily Stats.

I got some too. Installed the newer version of teh client. Guess mine was too old or something. Oh well. I gave climate 5% so seti is not losing much and will help them out when seti is sucksing it up at times.

I figured since we have a predictor@home team(which I'm also a member of), a climate prediction team would be a good idea. Get an idea of who else is running the project and such. We don't need a website or anything, just a team name.
I'm still dedicated to SETI, but as Skyhook mentioned SETI at times not being dedicated to us, I have something else to do in those downtimes(The SETI team even recomends it on their front page).
Also BOINC 4.05 seems much better at sharing Resources. With Predictor@home and Boinc 3.xx I would always see predictor@home go and grab a ton of units, leaving little demand for SETI to refill its cache, this is not the case now with 4.05. Boinc will download a Climate unit, run it for a little while then switch back to a SETI unit.
You shouldn't have to worry to much about not completing your Climate units by the deadline, they take almost take a month to complete, but you have a year to finish them. Oh, and you do receive credit before the unit is complelty done, as I've gotten 75 already, with only running the project for a day at a 30% resouce share on a few computers.
If anyone wishes to join, just do a team search for overclockers.com, I made the website for the team this forum, so maybe we can pull in some mor SETI members also.
