Okay, I just moved into a apartment here in Gainesville 2 weeks ago. The interenet has not worked well since I got here, and over a week ago my computer stopped pulling an IP address from their equipment. My roomates have never been able to get an IP address.

The leasing office is worthless, they keep telling me they'll tell the "internet guy" to fix it, and the last time I went in there to complain, they just told me to email the internet guy. They gave me this address:

rv-support@subnetsystems.com

a WHOIS on subnetsystems.com yields the following:

Interesting phone number to register under. That is fraud, isn't it?

their website is blank, also.

What course of action do I have towards this? It says in my lease I will have internet access.

3 out of 4 of my classes require me to turn in homework through the internet.

Hopefully some of you all have experience here....SilverSinkSam?

Thanks

It's not fraud, as it appears all the other info seems correct, they just don't want to accept phone calls, just e-mail them. Now if the name, address and e-mails were bogus it could be an issue.

Well I would think they would have phone number to call. Because well if you got an internet problem, how the are you suppose to e-mail them? Now thats a bright one.

I have no idea if this is a Kansas Law or national or what, but I know here legaly the landload has two weeks to fix somthing before legal action can be taken. So get a matenience request in writing with the date on it. Also I am guessing you to be in college do check to see if your school has a student legal center, I know the one here at KU is awesome at getting landlords to fix stuff.
