Buying a tbird..?

i'm going to buy a tbird 1.4ghz socketA so i want to know if the new tbirds are locked.. or unlocked..? should i look for some consideration..?

i think they are all locked ... because amd is locing there cpus just for their own safety ...
i could be wrong ...

I have a 1.4 AMD T-Bird which came unlocked. Most T-birds at the high end are unlocked while lower end T-birds are locked.....

I have a 1.2 T-Bird what are the chances of it being locked/unlocked?

All of the high end T-Birds come factory unlocked, atleast all of the ones ive seen.

Yeah, every 1.2 I've seen has been unlocked. Atleast at my local
computer shop.

The highest Tbird that I've seen locked was a 1.13 everything that I've seen over that has been unlocked. So I would say that its a good bet that most all of the 1.2 and above are unlocked, but you never know.

My AXIA 1.0 was locked, my AXIA 1.2 came unlocked. All of the 1.2 and above that I've seen have been unlocked although somebody posted in here that they had one that was locked.
