how would you go about overclocking a laptop?

and is there anything i need to know about laptop and its parts cause ive never owned or had any experince with a laptop at all.

i know nothing about laptops.

its a pretty old version im getting free from a person at my moms work.

Honestly you dont. They run on the bad side of hot to begin with. Most don't have anything that resemble jumpers to change FSB or Multiplier. They don't have bios' aimed at OCing. And 99 times out of 100 an FSB program won't work. Not to mention, even if you can overclock, the extra juice required isn't really feasible when it comes to battery consumption.

They just weren't made for it. Neither are home computers, but you have a better cooling, power, and motherboard options.
