Unfortunately the Intel users have to suffer multiplier locked CPU's and as such you are limited to increasing the front side bus.. Remember to watch your tempratures if attempting this though

K, ty for your help.
may I ask what is a good way to go about overclocking the bus?
still new to over clocking...

The FSB (front side bus) is adjusted on your mobo (motherboard), each mobo manufaturer does this in a different way, some use jumpers while others use bios settings. Look in the mobo manual for more information on this. Adjusting the FSB makes your complete system run faster not just the CPU and the success you may or may not obtain can be attributed to the quality of all your components. Remember to watch your tempratures when overclocking.

A good read for someone new to overclocking is the beginners guides on the front of this site.

Good luck

You have an Intel motherboard so they may have stripped away most of the overclocking features.

If you can't overclock, you have 1.7Ghz! :)

Lots and Lots of cooling would be the best way to get a very high OC out of it but it will really matter what type of board and what speed rambus you are useing.

Hey!

If you cant find overclocking options on your board, via jumpers or softmenu's then I'd look into some software programs such as softFSB and cpuFSB, there should be a link to them in the oc.com link area, or check out www.tweakfiles.com

Good luck
