I am using the standard dual IDE drivers that MS provides for win2k
the only problem is I want the different transfer speed settings that the XP Driver offers.
Is there any way to use the XP standard IDE drivers in win2k and get those options?

win2k u can only choose DMA mode or PIO in winXP u can choose different DMA and PIO modes...thats what me needs.

I am using NF3 chipset and nvidia's drivers for IDE suck...so...yeah.
Thanks

Slip Stream the latest Service Pack for W2000 & make a new install CD, THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT (http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=295). What your thinking will probably not work.

hrm thats not at all what I am lookin to do...
I am tryin to figure out if there is a way to get all the different transfer rate modes to show up in win2k's default IDE driver like it does in XP.
cuz in win2k I only have choice between DMA or PIO...in XP you have like all the differenent DMA modes and diff. PIO modes to choose from.

I'm assuming that in the latest SP for W2K the option is there and that is why Sonny is suggesting this.
