Hey there.

Just installed Service Pack 2, ive never really botherd with a anti virus, i just use ad-aware for spyware.

Used AVG, thought it was crap

Any reccommendations?

Also ive disabed to windows firewall in SP2, cause i have a router, and share my cable with my dad's PC, i take t this is the right option?

AVG is one of the best, define "crap".

There's also Avast!, which has a free version.

I would suggest that you try out panda antivirus - free 30 day nagware - I had a virus on my comp that killed norton everytime I tried to run it - also killed the installer when I tried to re-install panda knocked it out cold though. Definitly worth a try I think - Im going to purchase the full version when I get back home to my computer.

Antivir seems to be ok for me.

Sounds like we had the same problem. I used AVG and it would only scan the hard drive for 10 minutes, and find nothing, but always pop-up and say I had a virus.

Try Avast! anti-virus. Works great for me, and it's 100% free.
