Hi everyone,

Question: I have 2 IDE hard drives running in RAID 0 (Maxtor 40Gb 7200RPM 133) I would like to change my moterboard Kt7A-Raid with something a little bit more recent ! BUT most recent motherboard offer raid on SATA now !

I don't really have $$$ to put in some new HD since I'll need to change my memory too! But Sata to IDE adaptor are sold around 5-10$ on ebay do you think those kind of adaptor reduce the speed of your HD, don't change anything or run faster since SATA is 150 ??

Thanks

well it's gonna help to a point, but at maximum you are only gonna hit the 133mpbs and not the 150mpbs. I would hold off until I could afford a sata drive.
