I have a x800pro it has the 1.6ram and the rage chip and the vivo connector and the core is # 215RADGAIIF an xt as far as I can find out. I've softmoded it to an xt-pe and it runs great does this mean it is a xt or am i just being hopeful, and will it packup on soon,

p.s does anybody know where to find a powercolor x800 xt-pe bios.

dont you think its a bit risky anyway ? what do you think powercolor would say if it fried and I contacted them and told them about this do you think they would replace it? b.t.w.what is the yellow connector for ? sorry about all the questions,

I don't feel it is very risky, as these cards are basically XT's that possibly can't clock as high on the core. If you want, you could unlock the 16 pipes and use the pro bios so that you stay at pro clocks but with quite a bit of a performance gain from a pro with 12 pipes. As far as the yellow connector, I actually don't know what it does.

What I find strange is that almost all the softmoded cards have been vivo's but mine clearly state's on the card that it is just a pro, i havn't seen any posts where someone has softmoded a pro and its been stable at xt-pe speeds,

I have a powercolor X800 pro VIVO and softmoded it to 16 pipes. Works great and able to do 530/1200.

Me too I want to know where I could find a powercolor X800 Xt-PE BIOS.

Mine did not say vivo on the box, yet it was a vivo and turned into an XT just fine. It was a BBA btw.

thats what most of the X800 Pros are at Comp USA.

I have yet to hear from someone who's bought an X800 Pro from Comp USA that wasnt a VIVO editioned card.
