Low overclocking results: 275(stock) - > 277 max..

Why? I can't overclock to over 277 megahertz (thats more than 2 MHz overclocked) with my Powercolor ATI Radeon 9700 np. I see people getting over 300. I am very sure it is not the heat problem.

Do I need to flash the BIOS to something else first?

i would think a bios flash is in order. check the stickies, you should find some help in there.

How are you sure it's not a heat related problem? what are your temps and how are you getting them? what are you using for cooling?

It may also be the drivers, I've found I can o/c more with certain drivers.

driver. i got 300MHz with a Radeon 9550 + fanless crap heatsink (alastor brand - never heard of it) and I got this with POWERCOLOR Radeon 9700

same driver btw
