Im doing some ad-hoc rackmount servers, and having many compatibility problems. I thought maybe you guys, who have been so good to me, can help.
I have a Supermicro SS 8060 (700+350w) with backplanes galore and im trying to stuff either an HP x4000 motherboard, or a dell poweredge 1600SC into the case. Many of the cables are not of the right length, or are not compatible.
I can make the cables (power led/on switch/ etc) longer (cut and tape) but I have come to realise that I dont have the manual for either motherboard, and there is no ID markings on the boards for what goes where.
Does anyone know a resource to find manuals server boards in general? It would be much appreciated.
