A buddy and i have 2 BF1942 DC/DCX Servers running 23:50 hours a day with the exception of 05:55-06:05AM (GMT-7, NO DST) when they get rebooted and stats get updated.
these are both running in coop mode with a decent amount of ai and we currently have them set up so that server 1 is 10 coalition vs 34 iraqi. server 2 is somewhere around 10 coalition vs 20 iraqi. joining the coalition side is a blast as it is more like a small squad outnumbered, but you can join either side you want.
i will be putting DCX on server 1 shortly so the rotation will be DC and DCX.
the hardware:
server 1:
AMD Athlon XP 2000
1GB OCZ PC3200
M$ Win2kPro
server 2:
Pentium 3 @700MHz
384MB PC133
M$ XP Pro
they are both on dedicated 512/4000 cable connections, about 10-14 peeps can play on each with no problems(we are located in the Phoenix, AZ area, so the closer you are to us, the better the ping, obviously).
if one happens to be down, try the other, but we try hard to keep them both up 23:50/7
you can reach them by going into the game and hit "add server", type in the following ips and hit join.
server 1 ip: bfserver.sytes.net
server 2 ip: rustyfire.sytes.net
also, we have full stats: http://selectbf.sytes.net. the stats page also has info about realtime play going on.
we are pretty liberal with the rules, just try not to team kill, i know it will happen especially in tight quarters outnumbered they way they are setup, but please apologize if you happen to. also, language is not much of a big deal, but don't be ridiculous, be cordial. keep the racial comments out of them. we try to make it a fun gaming time for everybody that is on. don't use any of the known glitches in the game or you will be banned, no questions asked.
