View Full Version : What timings would I need to run my ram at 220mhz?
I have corsair xms pc3200c2 (ch-5). im currently running 2x512mb in dual channal at 210mhz with 2-2-3-11 timings (2.9v). what are the best stable timings that would work at 220mhz?

you'll probably need to try different things and then run memtest to see if it's stable memorywise. thats how I finally came to the fsb number I did yesterday for mine

2-3-3-x should get you there on 2.9v. If you have 3.3v or so at your disposal your current timings should get you there.
I tried 220x11 (2.42ghz) @ 1.95 volts and 3-3-3-9 timings and Prime crashed after a minute. Any suggestions?

drop your multiplier down to 9 or so and see if memtest can run at those timings then error free and if so, try upping it to 225 and then test is basically how I got to the number I'm sitting at.
see just how high you can go error free in memtest with a semi-low multiplier at whatever timings you can get, and once you find a stable spot and your limit, start upping that multiplier and running prime to see if it's overall stable.
Of course I'm new at all this and that may not be the best way to do it but it did work for me...... though time consuming :eh?:
you might even try another BIOS as well
