The D4 pump has a noryl casing that is limited to 140 degF. The nvidia 6800 can reach temps up to 85deg C (>!80deg F)

Has anyone succesfully cooled a 6800 without cooking their pump?

A watercooled setup would never reach this temperature; the maximum working temperature of the 6800 is just certain to never be reached in a watercooled setup. Nothing to worry about here for the pump.

lol

maximum operation temp means that it CAN operate at that temperature, not that it does.

water temp and core temps are not equal, how far apart they are depends on how good the waterblock is.
