hi!!
I'm new here...I know overclockers.com for very long time...so, I have a cely800 running on a whooping 1200MHz, 150FSB, on an Asus P3V4X...in ALL german forums, no one believed me, that my cely is 100% stable at that speed...so, do you believe me here??
I have some pics:

so, do YOU overclockers believe me?

Hi GrossmeisterB, wellcome to the Forum,
Why don't belive in your result, is really a great OC out of the cheaper Cellie 800, really impressed! ;)

The average OC on an C800 in our database is 1100Mhz. Why wouldn't 1200 be believable?
Great job.

I have no reason to doubt you, however does it really matter that you are not believed by some. The answer to this greatly depends upon the reason that we overclock, do we seek admiration from our peers or do we the seek self satifaction of our achievements?
If you are pleased, then that is all that matters ;)

Hi there, welcome to the OC forum!
I think you did a great job! Congrats:)
8*150=1200 Ghz
Sence it has water cooled peltier and 150 kingmax ram, theres no aparent reason not to believe you.
What cpu voltage are you running on??
Can you post a pict of how youre cooling that baby?!?
Can you take it higher, without loosing stability??
Anyway, great job
Just to correct my stupidity... When did Intel start producing Celerons with a 100 mhz FSB?
My old cBO cele was manufactured with 66 mhx FSB speed. I thought they all were?

It's very believable! lot's of guys/girls are getting these high speeds with the new 100MHz FSB Celerons.
congrats on a great job!
but what type of cooling are you using, and what stepping?

Why woundt we belive you?
As what would be the point of making it up.
Impress some people you dont know?
I just checked the Intel site and answered my own question. Sometimes I feel like I am SOOOO out of it! 100 mhz Cele's... will wonders never cease?
I believe ya, I got mine to post at 1200, but my hard drive crapped out on me at the 150fsb.
Heck, Compuwiz.com is selling 800 Celly's that are guaranteed to do 1200, and they only cost around $99.

I completely believe you and think that chip can go higher if you has more FSB options. Heat should not be an issue since you are using a watercooled peltier

so, I have a 20GB Samsung, UDMA66, works fine...
so, the voltage is set to 1.95V in the BIOS MBM5 reports 1.98-2.0V...(a bit inaccurate...)
so, I have tried to get it to 155MHz FSB, using CPUFSB (in WinME), but it locks at once...so, I don't think the chip would get that much higher...but I run it at 1200 all day...I had a 'lil prob with my SBPCI128, the comp locked up when listening to music, the sound-card got damn hot, so I put a 'lil heatsink on that baby...hehehe...
so, when you wanna see pics of my case/comp, go to www.extremeoc.de and in the left menu click on "Mein System"...
so, this seems to be a very nice forum!!!
Way to go. I have a Celeron 800 that I can get to 1066. I run it at that, but other components start to get too hot when i do (MX200 and Muse sound card). So I pretty much leave it there till I can afford better stuff. It is nice to know that there is the potential to get that high with my chip as well.

My friend, that is a truly impressive system you have there. As to believing you, Of course we do. Anybody who posts false claims are only hurting themselves.
You should check out this guys setup.....here's a taster....

Yeah I believe you! Mine boots at 1120 (140FSB) and that's with an 'old' BX mobo, generic crap slotket and a CL2 PC100 stick alongside a CL3 PC133 stick.

thanks man...here's my 3DMark2001 compare-URL...this is the fastest celeron w/ nonGF3 card...I worked REAL hard to get that score...
http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?1444689
so, the (complete) casemod took me about a whole month...and the costs were around 70US$...not that much, but I think it was worth the money...all my friends were really impressed when they saw my rig...and they were double-impressed, when they heard that all fans @7V would make it run as quite as a normal PC, but only "bit" faster...:) :)
the pic "reddeathdrinker" posted shows my Elsa Gladiac...there's a selfmade watercooler on it, with a 40W-peltier...I removed the peltier, cauz it made no difference on overclocking, and I was too afraid of doing a V-mod on my card...the max. clock speed is 238/390 only...I think I'd better gotten an Asus card...well, next time...:D
yeah, I like this forum..but it's a bit slow, well, doesn't matter..it's fun posting here...:D

you should get a CPU with a higher multiplier and see if you can go any higher.
GrossmeisterB
08-31-01, 02:28 PM
well, I think 1200 is the max. for a cCo-stepping cely...maybe I could get a cDo stepping one, but I just upgraded, so I don't have any money left...I'm sure a cDo stepping one can hit 1250-1300...

What stepping is the 900s? Arent there celerons running at 1.1g? That high of a multiplier would kill the FSB and bandwidth. But a 900 might just be the ticket for 1.3+g

All the Cellie's from 900 to 1.1Ghz are cD0 ;)

yeah, a 900MHz one sound good...but it's too expensive...I want to save for a completely new system, so, no upgrade...;)

totally new or just new MB/CPU?
Maybe before you retire the system you should sell the CPU and use it to defer the costs of a high mult CPU.
I know I shouldnt tell other people what to do with their $

Newegg.com has the 900 for $62 but I have no clue what the shipping would be to Europe. Maybe you have a friend who lives in the states? Then he could ship the CPU to you.
Again I shouldnt tell people what to do with their $
Oh yeah I believe you too. Your system is one people should aspire to.

well, I want a completely new system...new MoBo, CPU, vid-card, HDD, etc...except the case/cooling, I'll keep it all...
I mind as well share last night's build and overclock.
Abit VH6, 256 stick cas 3 Kingston RAM, 1.75 /stock voltage, retail heat sink/fan with radio shack compound.
Could get a boot at 150 (1.2) but runs way too hot (needs voltage increased to 1.85), so I have it running a couple notches below the pic to leave some headroom as the guy won't be using all of it right away:

1.2 with stock HSF??OMG!!that must be a super-chip you got there...I'm wondering what it can do with some decent cooling...I think the 1.3G barrier is no prob for that chip...insane!!

It is a good chip. Only had to raise the voltage .5 to get it to 1.20ghz. Then, at stock voltage 1.18 !!
He's a lucky man and doesn't even know it. The 44C is at full load for 10 minutes before I took the screen shot, with a crappy exhaust fani nthe back.

The Celly 800 and 900 are 100 MHz FSB parts. Intel finally decided to go to a 100 MHz FSB on the Celerons since AMD's Duron was stomping the Celeron in most benches....
