View Full Version : 1.1GHz 200FSB @ 1.353GHz 270FSB
I finally got my conductive ink pen & everything seems to be OK. I also lapped my Dragon Orb 3 & carefully followed the instructions on how to apply AS2. Idles at 30°C & 48° during 3DMark2001,44°C with Sandra Burn-In & still hasn't crashed:D :D :D. No lockups yet & will try to leave it on for 24hrs just to see if its stable. I'm not sure if it will boot up consistently, the problem before I got the conductive ink penn, but the L1 bridges are now linked with something much better that pencil so I hope there aint gonna be no surprises in the future. Kinda did a crappy job at connecting the bridges 'cause I couldn't find my magnifyng glass:o
TranceBear - it's a AXHA-9. It isn't suppose to be a good chip to clock with but I hope I won't have any problems booting up:).
Just finished running the Burn-In test of Sandra2001 a hundred times & everything is OK. Temps have changed to 33°C idle & 51°C load. I closed the case this time to be able to get a more accurate realworld test. Looks like I need to get a bigger intake fan & position it on the side. I haven't done any case mods & still tryng to find a acceptable fan here. Nobody sells them in this hot part of the world.

Good to hear it is running smooth, sometimes you can have alot of trouble running the FSB that high. Good luck on the fans.

The Dragon Orb? Have we not taught you anything? Well if you must it is the best Orb out there. Congrats on the O/C even with the AXIA-9. With better cooling you may get more!! Good Luck
TranceBear - We all want Swiftys but the 462 costs about $150 to get it here. If you can get me one below $100 I will be glad to flow you the mula:D.
Cocytus - Is 270FSB high? Thats just 10 x 135MHz/33, I've heard of people running like 150(300)-166(332). I can only hope to run my FSB at those speeds with the current ram that I got.
All you guys have been a great help. THANKS TO YOU ALL:D
I've seen many 1.1 Ghz AXIA-9 chips around my place with blue cores and I thought of getting one to try out but its really great to listen that you manage to get your 1.1 running and o/c fine ! :)
I have a 1.2 AXIA -9 @1470MHz and raising! I just got the EPoX 8K7A wich allow me to get more than 1.85V, I think that will make me hit 1.5GHz! :)
Some say that AXIA -9 isnt' cery good overclockers, but I disagree, I think they are good! :)
Good luck with your AXIA !

What is your location, I may can get something worked out for under $80.
WAIT!!! It's an AXHA-9 not an AXIA-9!!! I'm hesitant to claim that it's stable & haven't turned it off to check if it'll boot up properly & consistently:( . The chip on the corner of die seems to be getting bigger everytime I take the damn HSF off so the next time I try I'm going to need a replacement chip as a back up.
TranceBear - I will e-mail you the details

Sorry about that. When I wrote that I was think about the speed of the FSB before it gets doubled. Stupid mistake on my part. That speed looks fine
IT'S BOOTING UP REAL CONSISTENT!! None of the problems I had before when I used a pencil. Looks like my mobo likes a really good connection. I didn't let it run for 24hrs 'cause I wanted to check if it would have the old problem so far so good. Will be trying to run Prime95 in a short while. That should really tax the system but not the new one, thats would be kinda rough. Will edit my sig soon as this proves stable.
I DON'T GET IT!!! 3DMark2001 ran fine. Sandra2001 ran fine. No crashes,no lockups & boots fine plus temps are pretty OK. But for all it's worth she can never run the Selftest or Torturetest on Prime95. Only the basic test runs. I don't believe there are hardware conflicts on my system:mad:  :confused:

Sonny, I have heard other people who have had problems running Prime95. You are not alone. These people also have rock solid systems. I would not sweat it al all, just enjoy your system.
TranceBear - I guess so since it's only the selftest & torturetest that don't work. Did you get the details yet?
I'm itching to go a little faster:D . Does anyone know the default voltage of the 1.33GHz & 1.4GHz? Need the info to base my voltages on them.

If I am not mistaken they are 1.75 v-core stock. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I have little experiance with the 1.4's, I sold mine after 1 day of testing it.
TranceBear - Why did you sell the 1.4GHz chip? Wouldn't that given you a higher O/C? But then again it wouldn't be as fun:cool:
Dumb Question; What do these refer to?
3.3V Value = 3.54
5 V Value = 5.25
12 V Value = 12.31
I know about the VCore Value but those I don't. If I increase the FSB do I need to adjust a certain voltage or is it simply just the VCore? I'm Using the plus feature of the softmenuIII to add 1 MHz at a time to the FSB. If done this way will it affect the PCI & AGP dividers?

If you increase the FSB alot it and you find it getting unstable bump up the core voltage, also it wouldnt hurt to bump up the voltage on the ram, but be real careful it isnt as forgiving as the cpu.Second bumping up the FSB will affect the agp and pci slots.
I only plan to hit 140(280)FSB. Is that in the realm of headaches with them PCI & AGP slots? How do my scores look to you guys & girls?

I think I found the limit. It will not reliably boot at 1.418GHz 270FSB(10.5 X 135),1.4GHz 266FSB(10.5 X 133) or 1.4GHz 280FSB(10 X 140). Can't get into windows in any of the combinations except at 1.4GHz 266FSB 10.5 X 133 but this one locks up when it cools down(there is an article about this on the Unofficial KT7 FAQ,something to do with disabling ACPI):(  . The fastest stable speed is at 1.373GHz 274FSB(10 X 137) but I still need to get an intake fan on the side of the case to bring down the temps. I only have one intake fan & only the exhaust fan of the PSU to help move air in & out of the case. Also a higher FSB than 274 just will not work. I got a bunch of errors when tryng to boot up to Windows & the most amusing one was the BIOS was asking me for a L2Cache Value. What's funny is that all the speeds that I mentioned DID NOT have a problem during the P.O.S.T. but always failed at Windows startup. Any ideas guys & girls?
Will post new scores with Sandra2001Standard soon.

try raising the voltage once you get some better cooling.

I had to disable AGPx4 to get mine up to 140mhz FSB, you may have to do this also. But remenber that your 1.1 may have just reached it's limits, not ALL chips overclock well.

Where do you disable x4 AGP?
I'm getting some strange error's in all 3D games, when I'm at a high FSB, do you think that this might be the problem?

I have this option in my BIOS, it is running at 2x now and I did not see that much of a decrease in 3-D performance. I think powerstrip can do this also if your BIOS cannot.
OK, thanks. I'll se if that helps.
I've been reading about my mobo & there might be a problem with anything running 1.4GHz. I also need more fans!
