I was just wondering which one you guys would get a Duron 800 or a 900 i looked at the overclocking thingy and it looks like the 800 is easier to overclock and doesn't too bad of speeds but then the 900 well i dunno.. theres a difference of 16 dollars inbetween them so i dont' know which one to get.. $42 for the 800 and 58 for the 900 i think i might go with the 800 just cause im strapped for money really bad but need something faster and that i can at least get 1.1 out of

i would take the 800 but i cant garantee you will get 1.1 out of it ... if you can ... that would be a nice job ... hmm but if i were you i would buy a t bird ... they are really really cheap at this moment ... but if you are short on cash ... take the 800

I agree, Durons have a cool name and are cheap but, since AMD has dropped all its prices for a few bucks more you can get an ATHLON 800 or even better a 1ghz ( its pretty cheap, check pricewatch.com)
I'm just soo thrilled to see cpus and hardware advancing at such a level :1000mhz !!! ( itll seem slow in a few years) but now its like sooo much faster than the super computers they had 8 years ago or more...
its pretty cool, I think ill need to upgrade soon :P

I own a Duron 800 and consider this to be a great CPU however I think 1100 mhz is a little optimistic as most seem to stop just shy of that at 1050, to get higher than this most people need to increase the voltage to the CPU which usually involves a mobo modification, at current prices however I would personally suggest a 1 ghz Athlon.
