i overclocked my 3.2ghz lga775 on a abit as8 with ddr400. i am running at default voltage fsb at 220 at 3.5ghz. i was able to get it to boot at 3.8 but unstable. at 4ghz it starts to boot windows and i get either a blue screen or windows protection error. what can i do to make it more stable so i dont get these errors at startup. at 3.5ghz i run idle at 106 F. and at full load about 136 F at 3.8 i was running at 140F. what do you recommend for voltage and ram settings to get so i can run at 4ghz. my system specs are

3.2ghz 800fsb lga775
abit AS8 865 motherboard
ddr400 corsair xms dual chanel
x800 pro video card
Thermaltake CL-P0025 silent tower cooling with AS5

Since the forum has international members, we usually report temps in C. So, 140 degrees F. equals 60 degrees C. That's not bad, although if you can improve cooling a little you'll be better off in the long run.

Are you still using default vcore? If so, then bumping up voltage a notch or two might be all you need to stabilize the system. Don't raise vcore too much since your temps are already getting up there. Might wanna improve cooling before raising vcore. Try something like 1.425v or 1.45v (actual measured) and see what happens.

For RAM, I would use the 5:4 memory ratio. Then maybe bump up the vdimm to 2.65v or so. I would leave the RAM timings at SPD for now until you find the limits of your system. You can fine tune your timings later.
