Ok cooling wise what are you useing on it. Also unless you got the good Rambus then your OC will suck. Rambus is intel's way of keeping normal people from OCing. Now I think king max makes a very nice stick of Rambus. Also I wouldn't bump the core too much. Try running Folding at home or Seti but before you do that run Prime 95 that will let you know if something is crapping out very quickly.
thank you for the reply AmbientFiction, cooling wise DD mazeP4,DD cooling cube,4"x4"x4" reservoir, eheim 1250 317gph pump, 2 120mm fans on radiator..ram..i have samsung ram 256mb of it to be exact :) and if it makes any difference my mobo is an abit th7-raid

Tay your clock gen northbridge and soucthbridge something is holfing you back. It has to be along those lines or its just the P4 crapping out on you. Its never a problem I am always here to help. I feel with all the help I have gotten here I have to repay it at every turn that is what makes this the best Overclocking site on the web.
so do you think i should get better cooling for the north and southbridge chips? say an old cpu cooler? or even a waterblock from dangerden for them? thanks again for the help
