According to the front page of Overclockers, "Jason" is looking for hints as to Wood cases. I tried emailing to sent email, but it bounced, so figured I'd post here. :D

Hmm very stylish I must admit. Now it has got me thinking. What If I were to do an Alternative mod by using an Old 1970's Console Style TV set gut it out and mount a monitor where the tube should be. Or perhaps an Old Console Stereo complete with 8 Track and Record Player. I could probably pick one up at a garage sale for next to nothing I would imagine. :D

Excellent work, time to build me a case.
The only thing that needs is wood-grain drive plates to match the case :)

Nah, that's what the door's for
Couple of questions.....Did you use fibercore with oak over laminate, or all the side panels solid oak? What did you do for the tray and pci slots in the back? Could I see some internal pics and a pic of the back? Been thinking of doing an oak tower, as I ma pretty handy with woodwork, cabinet work specifically. Red oak is my favorite wood to work with, and I have all the necessary tools. Nice job you did on this one.

Hi,I used 1/2" Oak Plywood for the sides/back/ top and bottom. I used 2x1x12 of Red Oak for the front, backed by a layer of 1/2" Plywood. Shoot me an email, and I'll dig up the pics to send to you.
The Mobo tray is out of an inwin Q500A, and I cut the rear to the tray/etc, Its a pullout board.
The drive side is a cut down of a server case, that held 11 drives, and has a drive bay in the back. I also have a PCPower and Cooling 840 Redundant supply in the back, Worked out rather well I think.
