I got a wacky friend who keeps promoting win95, he says it works better than win98, I doubt this......He uses some wacky setup with 3 harddrives and Raid 0, he has win me on one harddrive and 95 on another, he has games on another harddrive, opens up 95 for games and runs games from a different harddrive....he says 95 is better than 98....

someone pls tell me the truth......i doubt 95 is better, it can't even get radeon drivers... anyway thnks

ps : i'm gonna check out his setup this weekend and tell you what I found....so give me some good info so I can smack him around when I see him:eek:

I would suggest aksing your friend this question "If Win95 is so good, how come you have WinME on your computer?"
Windows 95 has no support for USB if my memory serves me well, and its FAT table is not as efficent as later Windows.
I guess your 'opinion' of whats better depends upon what you are doing with it, if you are playing old DOS games Win95 is great. Generally speaking Win95 is a faster, smaller, older, Operating System due to the fact it has less features and less support.

Some People such as myself want the best of all worlds and use a peice of software called 98 Lite (http://www.98lite.net) which allows you to configure ALL versions of Windows 9x to suit your requirements, to the point where if you so wished you could run the Windows 95 Desktop on Windows ME, and it works great.. But this is just my opinion

I've allways heard that Win95 was more efficient with it memory usage.... As for everything else, I don't know. But Win95 on my P-90 is WAY more stable than my main computer. (Celeron with Win98).
