I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make this processor go really fast. I have an Asus motherboard.
Please leave feedback on how to tell me how to do this.
Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.
Relly fast I dont' know, but we'll see what we can do.
Please tell us the model of your motherboard, and the amount of RAM you have.
I dont think a p2 466 exist. I thought they stopped making them at 450.

Hi Cuban B, wellcome to the Forum,
your Mobo is based on the i440LX chipset, and can manage only 60/66/75/83Mhz of Fsb, now, supposing that you've a Celeron 466Mhz, I don't know any Pentium // with this Freq., you can rise the Fsb, setting the 'Cpu Bus Frequency' Jumper on Mobo, from the original 66 to 75 obtaining 525Mhz the best choice, or 83Mhz, but this is dangerous a little for the Pci freq. that generates, 41Mhz that can give probs with Pci card & Hd with possible Fat corruption.
Remember to check your system temps, I suggest MotherBoardMonitor that you found at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ must be under 50 degree C, but less is better (If I remember well generally it works around 35-40 C). Another important tip is around the VCore, the chip voltage, that you must rise a little, not over the 15%, if the system isn't stable (Freezes or black screen at startup).
I hope it helps you ;)

OK what type of cooling are you useing because itsn't that core close to max. He might need better cooling if that is the case. Wouldn't want to burn up a clasic.
