html coding....newbe help

hi peeps,
can anyone help me in some html coding.#
i am looking for some help in what do i need to html a web page,i want some banners ect to move from left to right,coulor backgrounds ect,
i no some basic stuff,but need some help to the next level as stated above.

any advice greatly appriciated ........

I'm not sure if I read your request correctly, but if you are attempting to animate a banner you have two choices:

1. Flash animation (using Macromedia flash)
2. Animated .gif.

In terms of colour backgrounds, you can set them up within your stylesheets.
