WELCOME TO THE FORUMS
...and the sickness
Well bro it could be a number of things. First I'd try a different BIOS fpr your motherboard. Secondly I would see if it is overheating (ie change the cooler)
If that doesnt do it, sadly the card is dead.
Does it artifract like that in the BIOS upon POST? or in Windows? If thats the case the card is definatly dead.:(

well since my bios is corrup at the moment i cant check that but i will update it and its just doing it in games, not anywhere else. I thought it was dx because it does it in 3dmark03 but dx is updated so im totally lost.

Hey Art, could you do us a favor and give us a mental picture of your system? Give us some specs and we might be able to spot some potential problems.

Probly the mobo. I just went thru something similar with my 6800GT, except my PC would atifract on the BIOS...scared me outta my mind. When you get your chip try again and see how it does.

ok great once i get my back up bios chip ill try getting new drivers and hope that fixes.
I figured it may be my mobo because this was happening with older drivers but i just got very annoyed by it lately because its been increasing.
Well thanks for the help, if updating the drivers doesnt work u can expect another post similar to this one :).
