Ok I have had an Idea and thought Id share it... theres a post in a different thread (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32513) the one by SPur31... look at his link there. Now you see how on the bottom he has his res and radiator? well what I was wondering was how could you go about making the res a sort of readiator as well? Get it? basiclly taking the res, putting tubbing of sorts through it and hooking a fan up on it as well... so in a way cooling the water in the res... Any ideas? open thought please.....

I've thought about something similar. I don't know whether making the reservoir out of metal, like copper (for its thermal properties and to avoide corrosion) would help - it'd be better at conducting heat from the water to the air inside the case.

I had been thinking about it more along the lines of heat flow into the res though - for instance keeping good airflow around the res to keep it cool. I've placed my reservoir though sitting on top of one of my cd drives, which I hope doesn't heat it up too much - we'll just have to wait and see.

I agree though, it's definitely worth trying to cool the water in the reservoir somehow. It might not make a huge difference to temps, but what have you got to lose?

Hey Guys,
I like the Ideas, The reason I wanted it clear is because I'm
using Dyelite in the water.
I like the copper res, you could do a lot with it. Maybe even putting a TEC at low voltage to cool the copper res.
It's funny everytime I start working on these projects You get great Ideas from everyone, and then you want to change up what your doing I may never finish :D :D
Thank you guys for the comments and Input it really helps make it worth while.

Yea I understand that. Thats why I put the biggest possible window in my case... I also sprayed a neon glow in the dark paint over the inside of my case so It would glow... first shot at it. Once I get the new mobo Im looking for Im going to paint it a little more for more of a glow effect...
