Older Silicon Graphics monitors

Has anybody ever mated an older silicon graphics monitor with a pc? The surplus store at the univeristy has a ton of them for sale for like 50 bucks each (21inch or so). Are those things even worth getting?

$50 for a 21 inch monitor? if it isnt that clear, use it as a TV. By in bulk and hock them off on eBay

You have to buy a couple of converters to be able to use them on your computer. I forget exactly what they are but the total cost is usually $50, I do remember that.
