Shoud I get 1gb of Kingston Hyperx PC4000 cas 3-4-4-8-1T for $255 or 1gb of OCZ EB PC3500 for $345. Is the OCZ worth the extra $90? I can also get 1gb OCZ EB PC3200 for $260.

I have also been looking for some Crucial Ballistix, but I can find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find it?

This RAM will be going into my new DFI lanpart UT 250gb with an A64 3200+

What is my best option in this case?

- 1GB Kingston Hyperx PC4000 cas 3-4-4-8-1T for $255
- 1GB OCZ EB PC3500 for $345
- 1GB OCZ EB PC3200 for $260
- 1GB Crucial Ballistix where can I find this!?!?

I have heard that the A64 are affected less by high cas timings as long as I am able to run 1T. I also read in the A64 section that the KHX run fine with the A64's on die controller.

thanks a bunch guys.

EB is my vote, not sure there is a difference between the 3200 and 3500 (seanomatic, bigfoot, stevefromocz might be able to correct me though)

You are getting ripped off on the pc3500 EB, you can find that around $300.

Generally the 3500 has better chips in them due to binning.

I don't know what other parts you have, but it seems to me that the extra $90. could net more performance increase if applied to a better cpu or video card.

You'll save money if you get a Fortron 530W for you psu instead.

I already have the PCP&C 510. I have had 3 different Fortron 530W's and had nothing but problems. The PCP&C 510 Dlx is worth every penny I paid for it too!

Does Crucial sell matched pairs?

No, but they do have excellent customer service and should be able to fix the problem. But DC is a non-issue with your system.
