WEll i saw my name. coolness!
I have another question..... go figure.
Can I run more than one instance of folding?
If so how many?
And does it benefit in any way by running more than 1 since it divides chip time with each instance?
Maybe someday I'll be all knowing.
Thanks You guys (and girls?) have been great.

right now till i make sure everything is going smooth....
i am only running 10 machines.
i have had a few issues, i noticecd some were running at frame 19 yesterday at 3 p.m. and still at 19 at 8 am this morning.. some didnt run at all.....
so i want to make sure and do it in stages.
then ill add my 2 home machines.
and hopefully upgrade one and have a 3rd.
and if i fall into some cases ill add the other 2 parts machines i have.
and now i pause and consider what i have just said, I need to go purchase life 2.0 from babbages.

I'm going to leave these questions up to someone like Stanman to answer. I think his input would be more qualified here as he also is running many boxes at a time.

for some wierd reason, i lost alot of units runnig 4 clients on my tbird... but running 2 clients on my p3 was fine....
now im still running 2 on my p3, but only 1 on my tbird....
The only real advantage to running more than one client is that you should have more work for your system(s) when the servers go down even when they run together but like sifu quoc it could end up not giving you credit or the server may just throw the work out. I do it but then I run the clients one at a time instead of all at once and it's been working out ok so far, but it's only on a few machines. I couldn't imagine trying it on a setup like Stanman has or with what you're working with or even some of the other smaller farms. Speaking of which I need to get extra work for the new box before the weekend comes and the servers go down again.

Are you sure that you have them installed properly so that you have a different user id number for each client? If you don't you will loose units.
While they are running look at the "scrlog.txt" file with notepad and make sure all user id numbers are different. :)
