Some nice enhancements to Firefox. So far I have noticed an IE SP2-like information bar popping up across the top of the window to inform you of blocked popups and plugins needed for a page. Also, the third party plugin manager has been extended to an embedded installation platform (I'm not talking about the extension manager) - makes for much quicker installation of flashplayer etc. All my extensions work apart from mouse gestures.
I'm not noticing anything significant about Thunderbird 0.8 so far. The status bar has been improved slightly, but not much.

Just last night I told a friend of mine that I will not upgrade my Firefox 0.9 until 1.0 comes out .............. oh well :)
I haven't tried the official release myself, but I've been running inbetween builds with almost all the features for a while now :D A site called MOOX (http://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla/) will compile the latest source every few days, and I'll update my install with those versions every few weeks. Based on the differences between these versions and 0.9.3, I'd say 1.0PR has a few neat little things to offer over, and I'd suggest upgrading to it if you have the time :)
EDIT: Haven't tried Thunderbird 0.8 yet, though MOOX provides custom builds of that as well if anybody is interested.

I am firefox 1.0PR now. Some extentions are not upgradable from 0.9.3 but otherwise looks good.

Here are some vulnerabilities which are fixed in 1.0pr :

is 1.0pr a beta release?
it says its a preview release.....
does that mean it contains bugs/security flaws?

Yes. All releases of Firefox so far are pre-final releases, and they might contain bugs or security problems.
no what im asking is
is .10 less secure than .93

No, it actually it fixes a security issue (http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/09/15/1758239&tid=172&tid=128&tid=154&tid=218) released today.
1.0PR is better (in bugfixes, security, and features) than 0.9.3.
0.9.x has most of the bugs fixed, but pretty much anything they've found in that release is fixed in 1.0PR. With 1.0PR out, they're checking their code one last time to make sure it's perfect before releasing "1.0 Final" (which will fix any bugs found in 1.0PR).

I'm using Firefox 1.0PR at the moment and it feels a little faster than the previous version. Maybe that's just me. The only bad thing I have to comment about this is, not all the extensions from the previous version works with this one. That may well change in the following weeks as developers update their extensions. Other than that, FF is great!

I like the new firefox I just downloaded it today. I had .92 before. I like how it will update your extensions if there are any, that was nice. I found a prob tho.
Normally when I hit the wheel on my mouse down (you know you get that arrow that lets you scroll up or down by moving the mouse up or down) well it doesnt work for my logitech mouse anymore... I have the normal windows driver, not the logitech one. Has anyone else had this prob?
Also, when I click to get the Quick Time plugin for mpegs it says failed for installing and dlownloading. Is this a normal prob?
