Just bought a new Dell laptop w/ this vid card and a 3.2ghz mobile p4 & 512mb of ddr ram. It lags a little bit in BF1942 and I only scored a 1,248 on 3DMark03, any ideas on how to speed up the performance on this card at all? I also have the newest nVidia drivers as well. Thanks

Nick

First, I have never messed with the Go version of the 5200, but I have with two desktop 5200s. I have to tweak the hell out of my game, mod the crap out of the card, and use the newest Omega Drivers to get much of anything from my 5200s.

Honestly, the best thing I can say is start saving $$$ for a new card. I know with a laptop you are not going to be able to mod it like I did mine, AMD K6 HS with a 60mm fan on it.

Yeh the main reason I bought it was to replace my desktop. But it's not what I expected on gaming....might just have to save up for an Alienware and send this Dell back :D

Laptops are not the way to go if you intend on doing some serious gaming. Save up, get a new desktop, but dont go to AW. I hear bad things about them. I prefer to build my own, much better bang for the buck.

actually, alienwares are very good i bought one a few years back (still using the case) and for its time it was veyr good and i had a good experience with it...then i started tweaking and cooling and modding and overclocking...DIY is the best, but for a premade, alienware was pretty damn good.
