I am getting wierd lines all over the place in games with the Kyro II(newest drivers and Dx 8). I have one game which acts like it is running under a 286 with the card. The computer seems worse off with it than the Voodoo3 it had previously. Also running 4 in 1.

Specs
Duron 700@933(it happens non overclocked too).
MSI K7T Turbo-R
Win 98 SE
Montego Sound Card
Hercules Prophet 4500 64mb Kyro II

And did you run the utility to remove the old voodoo drivers or is this with a fresh install?

ok i have almost the same specs ... but no probz with my kyro II
in what game does this happen?
i have seen some white dots in cs in dark rooms but that doesnt botter me ... and im not even sure if thats the cause of my kyro
i hope you get this problem solved ... maybe its just a corrupted card or how do you say it ... maybe if you exchange it, it ll be better

check these forums:

There's alot of specific settings for specific games that fix most issues.

well I think i have it fixed. I removed the sound card(TBS Montego) so it is going on with onboard sound right now. Also took the heatsink off, removed its goop, and did a proper application of the radio shack stuff. Works like a charm right now.

Sweet! I did the same thing on mine and found that there wasn't much contact. Bummer about the sound card. Have you tried running just the reference drivers (http://www.powervr.com/Downloads.asp) from PowerVR with the sound card?
