ok, if my cpu was clock-locked I wouldn't be able to change my multiplier settings BUT, I looked at it and it looked unlocked yet in my bios (SoftMenuIII of my Abit-KG7) not only can't I change the mult but ALSO I can't change the FSB or anything else, I have an "x" next to all those options, I can only set my original cpu speed which I set to 1400(133)
what's wrong here???

is the motherboard in "jumperless" mode, because it wonmt change any multiplier or FSB settings in bios if it isnt

How do I know? I looked in my mobo manual and there is no mention of it, all it says is that I can change those settings in my SoftMenuIII. They are there but grayed out, do I have to look around the bios to turn it into jumperless?

oh no, I fixed it, found my prob, anyway.. Now I have another prob, highest I can get is 145 FSB and I didn't test temps yet, windows will not start at 150 (didn't try anything in between yet because I'm scared of frying system without MBM installed) 145 off the first try worked fine wit the the default 10.5 mult. I will play around once I get MBM5 onto there. Thanx guys, we'll see what happens, I dunno what to do about my power button though, it powers up fine now, but when I want to reboot I must hit reset, hummm, stubborn little bi*ch, lol
