Is it true that you have to polish the copper everytime because it gets black and dirty? Won't the copper become black?

I'm not using a copper cooler, so I'm not very experienced, but my Alpha have a part of the bottom with copper, so I suppose that the only side that is necessary to clean is the bottom, even if not frequently coz relativly in contact with air for the layer of thermal paste and the pressure on the Chip Core.

As long as your not touching it with your hand or if you do wiping it down with alcohol it shouldnt discolor to much. It really isnt anything to worry about though.
