I just installed F@H last night, I regestered as satan (www.overclockers.com). Is that right?

It taked me about 6-7 min to fold one frame on my celeron 433@540. How is that? And is there a way to make it run in the backround unnoticed?

Well, anyway I like F@H, instead of using cpu burn-in I can use this to test stability, task manager shows 100% cpu use when F@H is in use. I also am getting my P3 933 soon, so it will be great for me to see the difference in folding times.

It sounds like you have it installed right, and 6 to 7 minutes per frame is about right. Most of the work units we have been getting take 500,000 steps, and are worth 5 points. As for running in the background, Im not sure but I think EM will allow you to do that.

Welcome aboard Satan.
You know you get a really bad rap in the Bible. You can't be all bad if you are here folding with us. :D

Hey Guys...... We have Bill Gates folding for our team :)

I hope you don't take offence to the little joke. I imagine Satan would be PO'd if he knew we likened him to Bill Gates.

Glad to have you as part of the team.

Welcome to the team. I'm sure you will be very pleased when you get your 933 up and running. I've got one that'll do 1120 and they run nice and cool. Funny...I've got a 433@540 also! Fold on!

I don't leave my computer on all day but I'll still get some finished.

Speaking of leaving it on, I have a scsi HDD thats not the main drive and when I leave my computer on or know I'm not going to use it, I unplug it because of heat and noise. I want to install a switch that turns it on and off for a quick mod. The question is can I just run the switch though the ground wire so when it's on the ground is connected and when it's off the ground is disconnected. Doesn't really go here but I figured someone could assure me if I'm right before I try.

I was going to say you should post in the Alt. Modding topic but I see you already did. Sorry there were no answers here. I hope someone there can help.

ok I dont know if this would damage your computer or not because Ive never tried it so be warned. you can get a moblie mounting rack. This allows you to pull a drive out through the front of your computer. It has a latching system so you just pull up on the handle then pull the drive out.

i think if you were to put on a switch, it would be to the power leads... ground should always be on.... cut the power, and the drive wont work....

i think you might need 2 switches, 1 for the yellow wire, and 1 for the red one.... the 2 blacks i think should always be on....

I thihnk the problem would be if the system was on and you cut the power on that drive it would fubar that drive in a very short time.
