Hi everybody!
Question about pelts; If using a 80w unit with proper watercooling @ an 1.4 T-bird, I might finding it running at some 20 to 30C at full load? Or am I calculating way off facts? Trying to avoid "worst case" condensation when idling. Heading for a "mild" use of pelt-cooling, without the risk of water dripping around.
Surely, there´s a lot of experienced people (yes, I´m impressed!)at this site who could give me a reasonable answer about this?

I've heard this over and over again, you need about or above a 125watt pelt to even achieve ambient temps. I don't remember the formula off hand though..

with just a good water cooling setup you should be running at around 34-40 load

so it is making a small difference

most people use a 156 or a 172 watt TEC for an Tbird though which will get you to about 10c

the TEC should be double the watts that come out of your cpu

Okey, thanks! I hoped for a middleway ride at this project, but have to realize there´s no way beyond a "hot" pelt and a powerful PSU :(
Have to drop my rents next month! :) To afford it!
