If you just want a simple program you can use CPUIdle (http://www.cpuidle.de/).

Personally I think these types of programs are junk.

Other ways are WaterFall and Rain ;) but this prg are usefull only in Win 9x & Me coz NT & W2000 just use this kind of prg build in the OS.

i personly dont know why anybody would want to idle there cpu when there not using it... as long as u got good cooling make it like burn in experience every day...help out overclockers.com one of there teams the Folding team or the seti team... as far as i know every little bit helps us overtake our competitors :)

Win2K issues its own HLT commands to the CPU when idle so you don't need one.

Using any other programs that issue the same commands can completely hose your system.
