first UNLOCKED T-bird just arrived!

Well, I am now officially an AMD man. :cool: My 1.4g AYHJA 9 just arrived today. From my understanding, this isn't the best overclocker of the AYHJA line, but that's ok as I won't be pushing it. I must give thanks to the forums for educating me on the awesome power of the AMD. My new rig will be operational within a week (more like a day or 2 :D ) and I have all of you to thank. :)

*edit*...in all my excitement I forgot to add that it appears to be UNLOCKED. WOOHOO

I may be wrong, but I was of the opinion that all 1.4 Athlons are unlocked. Anyway hope the build goes well.

There no going back once you discover the darkside :)

Welcome to AMD. I havn't really heard what AYHJA is best but my 1.33 AYHJA 9 will do 1700+ provided it has enough voltage. I can even run it at 1600 at 1.85v. Those are some pretty nifty numbers even for water. I really doubt many other AYHJA athlons would do what mine will do so I am very pleased with the 9.

im not long a newby AMD man also, just a throw in here:my 1.4 is a "y" and want to know if its like the 1.2's as the "y" is better than the "9"??????????????????????????

Yes, I was also under the impression that the "y" was a better OC'er.I sure hope so because I had a choice between the two and chose the Y. I'm OC'ing it right now as we speak.I'm at 1522 right now with all the defaults.

Yep, thats what I run on my current box too. I run the screensaver though because I do a lot of gaming and need the speed :rolleyes:
