Sata hard drives and ide lights

when you only use sata drives do the ide light work or not

if ide lights u mean hd activity lights then yes i only run 2 sata hds and my red light flashes when there is hd use

weird I get nothing no activity nothing and all ended when I removed my last ide drive. oh well probably pins got burned or anything else

works for me, but i remember when i was just building this computer (a little more than a year ago) some motherboards would not show hdd activity if it was an sata drive. im not sure which ones didn't though. if its a new board, i would guess that it would show the activity though.
