I wrote to the good people at Arctic Silver, and they responded basically by saying that you can't mix ACII with epoxy to get thermal epoxy. They said that Arctic Silver II uses silicone as a "suspension agent" for the silver, and as such, will interfere with the bonding capabilities of the epoxy. By the time one would get enough epoxy in the rato to keep it's bonding abilities, you'd have such little contect of ACII that it would be pointless.

I guess it's the Krazy Glued corners with ACII goo in the middle for those of us who dont wanna pay $14 for Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy. =(

actually the idea of thinning it down was because AS Epoxy is too good at its bonding IE you can't pry the glued stuff off.

Not THEIR epoxy guys! Wise up! EPOXY. Just plain old bond-anything epoxy. Not Arctic Silver Epoxy. JUST EPOXY MIXED WITH ASII. Clear? Good.

I've actually had success mixing radioshack silicone hestsink compound with krazy glue about 3:1 (did it on a razor blade with a bent paper clip). For some reason the krazy glue acts like a hardener, and allows the silicone to solidify whithin a few miniutes.

I suppose this would work with AS too.
