I have a duron 800 just sittin around doin nothing( waiting for mobo) While the rig im useing has a k6-3 450 on a asus p5a mobo. Do you think i can put the 800 on the p5a just till I can aford a new mobo. Iknow it will be under clocked but thats fine with me.
What do you think??

The socket isn't the same. K6-2/3 use socket 7 interface (old one that pentium 1 were using), while the new AMD's (Duron, Athlon) use the socket A. The number of pins between them are different, and (if I am not wrong) the pins assignment. So, as MiteyJoe said, NO:)
