i was just wondering if the arga 9 stepping is good to overclock or not
and also do i need to apply thermalpaste to my cpu core?

Well I cant really comment about the stepping, but definately apply a small ammount of thermal paste to your core - It makes a huge difference.

U HAVE TO APPLY THERMAL GREASE TO YOUR CPU's CORE
It would be dangerous if u didn't
the temps will be alot higher

With refrence to the steppings if you have a look on the front of overclockers.com at the CPU database, you will be able to see what speeds people are obtaining with that stepping.

You will need to apply a thin layer of thermal paste to your CPu core to ensure good heat transfer to the heatsink.
