The clip on the alpha Pal 6035 as you all probably know is a piece of s... err skinny wire.

Because of it I now am the proud owner of a lovely 1200 mhz Athlon Thunderbird Keychain. *Viewable to the left*

I want to mount it through the 4 holes on the motherboard.

Any DIY suggestions?

PS. Anyone have the measurements on the holes? Diameter and distance apart. I could check myself, but I'm far too lazy to do it right now.

Thank

I have a Hedgehog which is the same size and style as a Pal 6035 but is copper instead. I took a copper plate drilled and countersunk 4 holes in it and drilled/tapped 4 holes in the bottom of the HSF. Use AS2 and bolted the assembally together. Also drill 4 more holes that line up with the holes ion your mobo. With the added copper plate on the base it is simple to bolt it down using the 4 goles in the mobo.

here is an article Hoot did a while back. i would look at that new alpha cooler, it is designed to use the four holes.

not sure I follow. You put the copper plate under the heatsink? how is that supposed to hold it on? or are you epoxying the HSF to the plate and using the plate to bolt through?

thanks
