what the heck is it?
It's (almost certainly) a hoax, it was started by a post on the M3DZone web site. There is this dodgy looking suposedly 'leaked' document from NVidia that gives all the details of the next generation of Geforce cards.
You can probably tell that i don't believe a word of it.

Xbitlabs is tried and true and would never Lie.
yahooo!! thats new nVidia power boyz and gals!
If that's the case, I want those freakin' drivers NOW.
I paid too much for this thing to be missing out on a 50% performance gain.

haha, that pdf was legit, I emailed nVidia and they said, indeed they made a typo but they said someone tampered with the compression used on the nvlogo.
Anyhow, you better eat that hat!
If there are any cards in stores on sept 17th it will be a miracle.
Nvidia does not sell video cards only the gpu's and such to manufactures to make video cards.

Hercules already has the titanium series ready, they just gatta wait till the 17th till they can open there mouth.
But I dont expect any cards making it to the market before october. Although the ATI Radeon2 thing could change all this!
I trust 3DGpu, since there mostly a NVidia fanboy site...

I've asked Bryan Del Rizzo, PR Manager at NVIDIA, whether or not the rumors are true in regards to the GeForce Titanium series we've been hearing about, and here's his response to the question:
Yea, sorry to disappoint, but they're just rumors.
Rest assured, when we have product announcements, you'll know...:)
So there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. :)

Take this anyway you want, but I think some of you guys are setting yourselves up for a major disappointment.

I have a great idea!!! Let's wait until Sep. 17 and see if the Ti cards are out yet. There is no use in specualting now as knowing when the Titanium comes out will not make it easier for you to afford :D

I'm kind of having a hard time understanding why you guys are getting all hyped up over this. The Geforce 3 Ti 200 is still going to be relatively expensive ($200 or so) and offer performance less than the Geforce 3. The Geforce 3 Ti 500 is going to be another "pre-overclocked" card that's going to cost $500. Meanwhile the GF3 will continue to be the GF3.
What exactly is the big news about all this? If you want the price of the GF3 to come down, then you'll have to thank ATI for that when the Radeon hits the streets. More cards from Nvidia is not going to make a huge impact on anything, IMO.
Well i won't eat the hat just yet, I think the jury is still out. I guess i got 2 weeks to develop a taste for head-wear, presumably you boys will be doing likewise if that .pdf proves to be BS?

I say, lets get drivers for the G3 going first before we get any new cards on the market that support faster speeds. The G3 needs to start enabling all these great features first before it has another card with the performance difference of the G2 GTS and G2Ultra with higher clock speeds alone.

The geforce 4 probably won't be to far away... that annoys me though. I mean look how long the geforce 2 was out before it was "updated" whereas I buy a geforce 3 and then bang heres comes a new one...
Its a long and painful road....:(
