Memroy timing question

sorry if vague ..

what would be best for memory ..

1. 2.5 and then lower settings
or
2. 2.0 and higher settings

example my ram spd is 2.5,3,3,7

if i changed to 2.0,7,7,15 or 2.5,2,2,5 ??

you always want to use the lowest possible setting at a given frequency...... if you want to go up on the MHz then you may have to up the timings a bit. 2.5-2-2-5 would smoke 2-7-7-15..... In fact I don't even know if you could get a computer to boot up with those timings.

cool thanks man .. i was just thinking that 2.0 was the most important part of timings, i will try @ 2.5 and get the lowest others ... oh and by the way does the timings say 2.5,3,3,7 does the 3's spot have to stay the same number or can they be changed to different settings . example 2.5, 3, 2, 7
