View Full Version : What is the best temperature monitoring DL?
I was wondering what is the best temperature monitoring download out there? And where can i get it? I have had one before and didnt like it, it was annoying and I didnt think it was all that accurate. Is there one that just monitors temp. and is not filled with a bunch of other junk?

One that I like and is filled with a lot less 'junk' then MBM, is MBprobe. MBProbe just monitors CPU and chipset temps, all Voltages and your fan's rpm.
Thanks for the info., but your forgot to tell me where i can get them.
I have two versions on my link below.

I have two versions on my link below. Thanks Pinky. I DL'ed it, and now i would like to know how I should set up the monitors, and which ones refer to the temp. of my processor? I have a VIA 686 chipset. Soyo SY-7VCA mobo. I DL'ed the MBM.
Select a sensor to set, start with 1, and below it (where it says "Should display board temp") select VIA686x-2 for the CPU, 1 for the northbridge, and 3 for the system temp. below, for each sensor as you're going from 1-3, select whether you want it displayed on the taskbar next to the clock/time.
If you want it to start with windows, select/check that under the general heading "Start MBM with windows". The rest is preference.
I should note that this is for version 5, download that one if you haven't already, much easier to use.

I had kindof figured out that #2 was the cpu since it is the hottest one out of the 3 (1-3). I am at 37 deg. C at full load when racing NFS Porche Unleashed. Around 34 at idle. Dont think those are bad temps with an 800 Celeron at 1066 are they?

Check that, at 29C at idle (as I type this) and between 34C and 37C at full load.

those are excellent temps if you are stable....
Agreed, very good temps for air cooling. Nice overclock.
You wouldn't believe the help I have received here... I give back what I can, but I'll never be able to repay it in full.
