upgrade RAM?

Right now I'm running a athlon xp 2800+(barton core) at 171x13.5, it appears to be the fastest i can push the RAM right now stably, i know this because heat isnt a problem, I tried lowering the cpu and upping the FSB before but dont remember how fast I could get the ram to go, i think it was about 179 tops or so. Anyways here is my question....

Right now I have two sticks of Kingston value ram 1gb pc2700.

Is it worth me upgrading to pc3200 and getting say corsair ram?

My mobo and CPU both support 400fsb so I figure I should take advantage, any insights? thanks

have you tried loosening your timings on ram up ??

what kind of mobo you have ?? maybe there are some settings that you can change to achieve better stability .. i take it you have ran memtest86 to determine your ram is the problem ??
