memory speed vs. timings?

Which would be better, to have RAM run at higher speeds and higher timings or lower speeds and lower timings?

Also does RAM with low timings tend to not overclock as well? thanks

both ways run well, the fast 1-1 with loose timings is the way of the future tho, with ddr2

I guess it depends on the ram.... My ram is 2-2-2-5 timing ram rated at 200Mhz and it overclocks up to 240.

It depends if you can hit a high enough fsb to outweigh the loose timings.
