There bottom's are know not to be the flattest so it would not hurt to give her a good lapping.
I lapped my Blorb, before I found that it wouldn't fit on my 8K7A. And man, did it take FOREVER. That thing is the most un-flat (if that's a word) thing I ever laid eyes on!
For a while there I was afraid the mounting tabs would just disappear!

Good Idea to lap the blorb (or blue orb chipset cooler for the newbies). Never hurts to do this on any heatsink.

Just a tip for you guys to get more mounting preasure with your Blorbs:
Go to RadioShack and get some machine screws that fit through the holes in your mobo/videocard, and get the right size nuts and fiber washers too. You can really get a tight mount this way! My GF2MX heatsink is mounted so tight that the card bows ever so slightly! It might be worthwhile to make a support plate out of plexiglass to go on the backside of the board so you can get it really really tight without damaging the board. If you make a plate, be sure to drill a large hole in the middle to expose the back of the board to the air.

use super glue....it works........but not really good
Did anyone else have trouble with the spacing on the blorb?
When it came time to push the pins into the holes in my A7V133, I needed to angle them just a bit to get the things to snap in.

The blue coating isn't exactly the best thermal conductor. I used screws to fasten the BlOrb too. I could only tighten it so far. The tabs on the BlOrb starting bending without much effort.
Good job lapping that! Yeah, I'd recommend lapping any of the small chipset heatsinks like that... (those "greenies" on the Northbridge chipset are NEVER flat...=) )
I got three of the Blorbs a while ago, only to find out they won't fit on ANY of the vid cards I own...DOH!!! :(
I'll find a use for them someday...lol
