If you set the cpu vcore to high you can burn it out.

That article is good....

Basically the procedure is you try different combinations of FSB and multiplier in small increments up until the computer wont boot. Then you start upping voltage in small increments in addition to upping CPU speed. Find your max, the limit at which your CPU will go absolutely no higher. And be watching your temps the whole time. I recommend stressing your O/C with Folding@Home, 3DMark or Sisoft Sandra.

**UPDATE** Just noticed you have an Athlon Slot A. You'll need a GFD to change the multiplier on there. Otherwise just up your bus speed.... you probably won't get to more than 110 MHz.

nono ... have you read something about ocing or do you want us to do all the stuff for you? nm that
the vcore is the voltage your cpu gets (core of cpu)
if you increase this you can make it more stable at a higher level
so when you are overclocking your fsb or multiplier ... and it gets unstalbe you can increase the vcore ... if you do this your system normally gets more stable but gets hotter ... thats about it

You should really start reading, some of the beginners guides. We have some good one's on the main page, take a look, it will answer many of your questions.

As long as we are talking about GFDS... anyone know where I could find one for cheap?
